SHIZUOKA DAIICHI-TV

The forest serves as a nurturing platform for diverse life forms. Recognizing its potential as a stage for Shizuoka’s vibrant growth, we envisioned a new office building to symbolize this progress—a “broadcasting station in the forest.” Designed to blend seamlessly with its lush surroundings, the office features a working environment that extends onto terraces immersed in nature. At the heart of the design is a sculptural installation situated amidst a water feature, enriching the cityscape with elements like a river-bound boat, cascading waterfall, and an ethereal riverside castle. Dominating the entrance is a sphere intricately carved with an aerial view of modern-day Shizuoka, crowned by a three-dimensional sculpture depicting Mount Fuji and the Daiichi-TV tower. Symbolizing Fuji’s ancient eruptions, the new Daiichi I- TV office stands as a testament to this historic backdrop.
The memories of excitement and inspiration emanating from Daiichi I-TV will forever resonate across Shizuoka, etching themselves indelibly into the hearts of its people.
