富士見に暮らす
千代田区富士見、江戸時代に譜代大名の武家屋敷が軒を連ねた屋敷町。今もなお見附の石垣が残る、江戸城の北の丸に最も近い、外壕要の牛込御門。そして、江戸時代初期から歴史の始まる小石川後楽園、千鳥ヶ淵の桜並木。東京を代表する花街であった面影を残す神楽坂。ここは、江戸の面影を残した、東京都の懐と言える場所です。「富士見に暮らす」ということは、積層した江戸/東京の歴史の上に暮らすということ。再開発という大きな変化によって、この土地の記憶が失われてしまわないよう歴史を継承し、これからもこの土地で始まる新しい暮らしを、より豊かなものにしていくこと。歴史・自然・街を通して富士見という土地にふれるランドスケープデザインを提案した。
Residing in Fujimi
Fujimi, Chiyoda-ku, is a residential area where samurai residences once stood side by side during the Edo period. The stone walls of Mitsuke still stand, and Ushigome Gomon, the outer gateway of Edo Castle, lies closest to the castle’s northern citadel. Nearby, Koishikawa Korakuen Garden, dating back to early Edo, and the cherry tree- lined Chidorigafuchi embody the area’s historical roots. Kagurazaka, renowned for its legacy as Tokyo’s iconic flower district, retains echoes of its Edo-era past, making it a cherished part of Tokyo’s heart. Living in Fujimi means embracing layers of Edo and Tokyo history. Amidst significant redevelopment, we aim to preserve and honor the memories of this land, enriching new lives that will thrive here in the future. Our proposed landscape design seeks to deeply connect Fujimi’s history, natural surroundings, and urban fabric, ensuring its enduring significance.
