IROA

I have been traveling extensively in search of unseen landscapes. By chance, I stumbled upon this place on Google Earth while in Tokyo, marked it on the map, and promptly flew to Oita the next morning to experience it firsthand. True to my expectations, the location was ideal, devoid of any man-made structures, with distant mountains reflecting in a serene pond before me. Upon meeting the landowner, I secured ownership. Further research revealed the property lacked basic amenities like water and electricity, which only fueled my excitement.
Inspired by the untouched beauty of the landscape, we contemplated how to create an unforgettable experience amidst its natural simplicity. This marked the beginning of the “IROA” project.
