文禄5年閏7月12日（1596年9月4日）別府湾に浮かんでいた瓜生島が大地震と津波で一夜にして沈んだという伝説を、古地図や文献、模型、スケッチ、別府湾で採集した石や砂で検証、考察するインスタレーション作品。
This installation delves into the legend surrounding Uryu Island, which purportedly floated in Beppu Bay on July 12, 1596 (September 4, 1596), only to sink overnight following an earthquake and tsunami. It incorporates old maps, documents, models, sketches, and materials such as stones and sand collected from Beppu Bay, aiming to explore and validate this historical account.
