かつてはどこの小学校の校庭にもあった百葉箱という白い木の箱。中には温度計や湿度計などの気象観測装置が入っていた。看護師を養成する大学の建築を百葉箱に見立て、その中に自然や人間を観測する装置としてのアートワークを16箇所に点在させた。看護師に必要な微細な環境の変化や人への思いやりの気持ちなど、目に見えないモノやコトへの気付きを促す作品である。
In every elementary schoolyard, a white wooden box known as a hundred-leaf box once housed weather observation instruments like thermometers and hygrometers. Drawing inspiration from this, the architecture of a nursing university mirrors the structure of a hundred-leaf box. Within its confines, artwork is strategically placed across 16 locations, serving as tools to observe nature and humanity. This installation aims to foster awareness of the unseen elements around us, such as subtle environmental shifts and empathy towards others—essential qualities for nurses in their practice.
