BOATRACEに訪れる観客は極わずかな風向きの変化、水面の変化、気持ちの変化などから勝負を見極める。小さな変化に感覚を研ぎすませることで得られる一瞬の閃きは、人間の五感では表せない、まさに 6th SENCE(=第6の感覚)である 。
BOATRACEの魅力を 世界へ発信する施設「SIX WAKE ROPPONGI」。そのランドスケープは様々な発見や気づきから6th SENCEが生まれる特別な場所であるべきだと考えた。6艇のボートの軌跡とダイナミックな波を形どり、レースの躍動感・スピード感を表現する空間には、色とりどりの花々や樹木を植え、象徴的な水景からは心地よい水音や潤いが生まれる。6th SENCEを刺激する環境が多くの人々を招き入れ、BOATRACEと触れ合う場となる事を目指した。
Visitors to BOATRACE discern the game through subtle shifts in wind, water, and atmosphere, attuned to nuances beyond the five human senses—a true 6th sense. “SIX WAKE ROPPONGI” serves as the venue showcasing the allure of BOATRACE to a global audience. This environment fosters moments of discovery and insight, where the 6th sense comes alive through various experiences. Designed to stimulate this heightened perception, it aims to attract many to engage with the excitement of BOATRACE.
