Landscape Design
当美術館コレクションの主軸アーティストであるエミール・ガレは植物をこよなく愛し、彼の作るガラスの器にモチーフとして多用された。実際にそれらの植物を植え、ガレの世界観を再構築したエミールガレの庭を中心に建築に写り込む海と島々の風景や外壁の色彩と呼応する季節の植栽。アートと建築と風景とが有機的に繋がる唯一無二なランドスケープが展開している。
ユネスコで創設された建築賞＜ベルサイユ賞＞が発表した「世界で最も美しい美術館」に選出されました。
Emile Gallé, the primary artist featured in the museum’s collection, had a deep affection for plants, which he frequently incorporated into the glass vessels he crafted. At the heart of the museum, a garden inspired by Emile Gallé faithfully reconstructs his botanical worldview. This garden serves as the focal point of the building, mirroring its seascape and islands in the architecture, with seasonal plantings harmonizing with the exterior wall colors. This integration creates a unique landscape where art, architecture, and nature intertwine seamlessly.
